## How a missing email setting exposes your business

Three records tell the world's mail servers whether a message really came from your business. When one of them is missing, or only set to watch, anyone can send email using your domain and it will usually be delivered.

Your clients and suppliers see an address they already trust, so a request to change bank details or pay an invoice looks like it came from you.

## What your scan checks

The scan reads the public email records for your domain. It does not access your systems or send email on your behalf, and Cyber People work alongside your IT provider on any changes.

The list of services allowed to send email for your domain, and whether everything else is turned away.
